Our new lives.

This is my first post as a married woman…. so weird :)
This last week has definitely been one of the busier weeks of our wedding planning, and there were a few glitches here and there and a few times when I freaked out a bit but in the end, it all came together and it was perfect. Definitely one of the happiest day of my life.

We ended up having a Starbucks themed wedding which was appropriate for us because we are very-well known as a Starbucks couple. You’ll always see us walking into church or some sort of gathering with Starbucks drinks in our hand, and much of our dates took place just reading at a local Starbucks shop. When I worked at Starbucks a few years ago, Eugene would visit me every so often during his study breaks and I would pick out drinks for him. A Starbucks-themed wedding added a sweet, personal touch to our special day.

My sweet and very talented friend Skye helped us draw all these chalkboards to decorate our wedding with. She worked at Starbucks with me and she was always responsible for writing in these little things because of her beautiful penmanship. She did a perfect job!

Despite the stressful and chaotic times during the last few days before the wedding, the day-of was absolutely perfect and we didn’t have to worry about anything at all. Our friends helped with decorations, gifts/guest sign in’s and Robin helped us coordinate everything on the day of the wedding, making our day the most fun and stress-free day of our lives. It was perfect. People say they never remember their wedding, or who came, or never get to eat the food– but we got to do all of those things because of the help of all of our sweet helpers. :) Thank you, friends..

A few of my close friends slept over the night before my wedding and my bridesmaids got up around 5:00am to go to the hotel and get ready. We were gifted with a complimentary bridal suite (a beautiful and big one too!) and we got ready there. Our makeup/hair artists arrived shortly after.

Esther being {even more} beautified. :)

They also provided us with a really huge selection of breakfast goodies. Juices, coffees, teas, fruits, pastries. It was sweet :) Of course I didn’t stuff myself too much. I was too nervous!

The wedding ended up being a huge success and a huge blessing for both Eugene and I. It’s true that your wedding day is possibly one of the most emotional and overwhelming day of your life. I married my best friend, the best man I’ve ever known. I know how blessed I am. So thankful and excited to live a life of love and service to him as his wife. :)

When we came home, we were so exhausted. Not only were we sleep-deprived but the rustle-bustle of all the wedding stuff definitely left us with tired-out bodies and really sore legs. (mainly due to the dancing!) We came home to a super crazy mess of a home but I spent most of the next few days cleaning our new home! Can’t wait til it’s all cleaned up and set! Here’s a quick preview of the first few days of our new married lives :) lots of unpacking, cleaning and rearranging :)

We actually just came back from our honeymoon yesterday. Tahiti did not disappoint! :) A more detailed update about that in coming posts… cheers to another day of cleaning/running errands and coming back to reality. haha :)

Being married is sweet. :o) More {hopefully fun} updates to come!
